The unique blend of Balinese and Chinese architecture is unfortunately not exactly the same as how it was built back in 1909. Taman Ujung water palace has been partly rebuilt and restored after it was almost entirely destroyed by the eruption of Mount Agung in 1963.

Set against the beautiful backdrop of Mount Agung and the eastern shoreline, Taman Ujung water palace is a great place to admire the interesting architecture in combination with lush nature surroundings. It is a nice stroll around the gardens and only if you want to visit some of the buildings from closer you have to walk some stairs. Locals also use the walkways to have a relaxing walk or jog before sunset time.
